The annual Clay County Fair plays a very important part in building better agriculture. The Clay County Fair presents a cross-section view of our county at its best, it brings the people of the entire community together once a year, thus developing a better understanding of common problems, presents new objectives and methods of improving farm living, disseminates helpful and useful information, and the people return home inspired to do better farming and homemaking.

We wish to express our appreciation to one and all that have contributed their means and labor toward the upholding of this year's fair.

The educational influence exerted by the Clay County Fair has helped many farms in Clay County.  As a result of seeing the fine livestock at the Fair, many families are inspired to improve their livestock program.

The Fair is a great social institution. People from all sections of the county meet together; they see old friends and make new ones; they enjoy the fun and frolic and revel in the entertainment; a spirit of friendly rivalry prevails.  There is need for more pleasure in farming. The well-planned Clay County Fair helps to provide this pleasure for farm families.
